Description

I've been staring at this thing so long I can't tell if it's good or not. But the main thing I wanted to make work looks okay, so I'm calling it done... for now. My Photoshop skills suck rocks, though, so I may go back and mess around with the fog some more at some point.
Inspired by a trick with background images Noseneighbor used.

I do like the fog, the swirls, and the way it is incorporated into the scene.  You can almost feel and taste the dampness of the fog. 
I'm also jealous.  Your foggy trees have that other world gate feel that I tried for on the zombie book cover.
